Front Entrance

Before/after comparison of the stone entrance at 89 Church St, Moncton, NB

The conservation of this entrance involved the replacement of the stair treads and foundation and the reuse of the large stone rails.

A cross section of the replacement design. Modifications include a raised horizontal bed, uniform tread depth, and a concrete slab.
Original tooling and moulding on the existing stone was measured and applied to the replacement.
Original stone rails relaid over a new concrete slab. Tread supports laid interior of rails.
